I got somethin'

Look at what just arrived in MY mail today! Ok, s'rsly is that not a hot cover? humina. Thanks to the lovely Ann Aguirre and a very nice contest on her blog, I have this very pretty spicy book to read. I'm tickled because a. it's romantica/erotica/whatever-you-call-it-a and you KNOW I love me some hawtness, b. anthologies are such a nice way to try new-to-me authors, and c. hell, it is just exciting when you win a free book. heh.

Behind closed doors, the real games begin…

Winning it big.
That's the name of the game at Las Vegas's Liege Hotel and Casino, where the hottest fantasies hinge on a roll of the dice…and the tantalizing knowledge that anything could happen before sunrise.

Cocktail waitress Carinna wants a man to tie her up, not tie her down. Little does she know that her most willing partner yet has something else planned for this fiery Latina bombshell.

Dahlia is a burlesque dancer with a brain for business and a bod for sin. Her latest admirer may be a sweet-talking Casanova, but despite what he thinks she's not giving anything away free.

Meanwhile, Amy has the perfect plan to rob the Liege Casino blind…until the intimidating owner catches her red-handed. Now she knows she's going to pay… with both pleasure and pain.

Professional shill Cassidy is ready to experience a breathless rendezvous with her "friend with benefits." But when he proposes five delicious nights of sexy blackjack, the stakes have never been so high.

Watch this space for an upcoming review. Assuming I can tear my eyes from the cover and start reading. lol.

Wow....I came over to read your African blog stories...but couldn't help but stop and admire these amazing guys.....this anthology looks great....as I work in a bookstore I've become a fan of anthologies for just the reason you mentioned... you get to sample writers....some of the erotic ones are great.....just enough to steam you up but not enough to wear you out...lol

your blog stories on Mali were amazing....I listen to Mali type Music...i love a cd called "the heart of the moon" with toure and diabet....kora music....gorgeous.

Do you have more blog engtires on Africa? You're a great writer too...

*hangs head in shame* k, I am a very bad blog mistress. blame my real life/job/etc. for getting in my way...not to mention a time-suck known as the DIK hero marathon.

Anyways, on to comments...

lb, I tend to agree with you on the tats. Lovely on models and stuff. Not so compelling IRL. What's up with that?

kb, I've been to Vegas once. And now I can travel there in my imagination. With my hawt new imaginary friends. heh.

az, I know...I suck. I should be done reading already. lol. But I am more than halfway through! Just one more entry to finish and one to reread. :)

christine, I will be curious to compare notes with you once I have finished all of the stories. I wonder which one fell short for you....

kim, isn't the cover grand? It made my boyfriend look. hahaha.

hi kwana! tis hot, yes very hot indeed. i would venture to say it may garner some attention at the store. heh.

CJ, I don't know if my review will live up to my hype, but I will do my best.

Rachael, thank you once again for my box! Can't wait. *giddy with excitement*

gina! nice to see you around here again. And yes, I DO need to post some more Mali stories. I love the music there and I did have that CD you mention. Loaned it to a friend and never got it back tho. :( I was lucky enough to meet Ali Farka Toure when I lived there. So sad that he passed away last year.

Ok, I promise to finish the book and have more deets up shortly. Well, sorta shortly...I have MBA classes tonite and tomorrow nite. See what I mean about RL? *sigh*
