Tempted into reading Crusie

Remember how I said I didn't read contemps? Hmm. Well, on the strength of recommendations from two very nice friends from AAR whose opinions I trust, I am dipping my toe into the water that is Jennifer Crusie. I picked up Welcome to Temptation this evening at the library and am halfway through it now. Unfortunately, I do have to sleep (*grumble grumble*) or I would finish it right this minute! It's very entertaining, and I'm so in love with Phin! *sigh* Insert gushing and squeeing right here. K, this is one that I will be back to talk more about. Just had to get that off my chest. Perhaps I CAN read contemporaries after all!

Isn't it great trying something new and finding out you love it? I love that feeling!!

kristie, yes I so love that feeling of discovery! It's a little like taking a gamble and have it pay off. Of course, I didn't really risk anything (i love libraries and free books!) but still, it's so fun to read something that is different from my normal fare but still so enjoyable.

hi nath! Welcome and bienvenue. :) Phin is definitely hot, and I love his sense of humor (um and his mad skillz in...errr...other things). Who knew that a guy with a name like Phineas could be the lead in a romance novel? lol.

I woke up 45 minutes early this morning just to squeeze in some more reading time before work. Yeah, I am that lame about books that grab my attention. *g*
